THE FLOCK
Kendrick Club Lambs was formed in the spring of 2006. This formation occurred when we purchased the club lamb flock of Jack Wall. The name, Kendrick Club Lambs may be a change but the genetics and people are not. Jack Wall has been producing sheep for more than 30 years. After numerous successes in the showring and several Georgia State Champions, we were shocked to find out he was selling out. We felt the genetic potential behind this flock was too great to pass up. We thank Jack and his family for allowing us to purchase this outstanding flock. While it is hard to explain all the genetics behind the flock, it is to my understanding that the base genetics trace back to David Garrett in Texas. There have been some additions to the flock to form Kendrick Club Lambs. Some hand selected ewes from the flock of Josh Lumpkin have been added. These genetics are similar as most of these ewes can be traced back to the Blackjack buck that was sold by Jack. In the Fall of 2009 be were approached by Lee Miller about buying out his small flock. The base of this flock was Slack genetics. Lee made us an incredible deal and we added his 20 ewes to our flock. We have retained daughters of some of the best ewes from this combination and they currently impress us with the productivity they are showing. Today we have 60 ewes and 3 rams that we use. We may not be the largest producer out there but we are proud of the quality lambs we have produced.

THE KENDRICK FAMILY

Allow me to introduce you to our family. My name is Dennis. I have been showing sheep since 1981. I started showing as a 4-H project. From the showring, I started saving ewes and started my own flock. This flock was named Kounty Line Farm. The Kounty Line Farm flock no longer exists, but the lessons I learned from operating the flock will be with me a lifetime. In 2000, I married Jenny Lumsden. Our first daughter, Haley, was born in 2003 and we later purchased our farm that same year. In March of 2006, our second daughter, Abigail, was born. Our first son was a great surprise and was born September 2007. Raising lambs has become a family affair. Haley has enjoyed showing both lambs and goats for the past two seasons. Abigail and Jarrett love helping with the baby lambs and being around the livestock in general. I feel the lessons our children are learning from growing up around livestock and showing will build them to better succeed in life.

Please feel free to contact us. We always enjoy talking with old friends as well as meeting new ones.
